HOW TO GET FREE SEX TOYS FROM REVIEWER PROGRAMS

If you have your own sex blog or are thinking about starting one, doing sex toy reviews is a great way to generate traffic and create posts containing affiliate links to generate income. Many sex toy manufacturers and retailers will send bloggers free sex toys in exchange for their unbiased review (Yes, unbiasedyou can give a negative review and providers are aware this is always a possibility).

Most sex toy review programs require you to already have your own blog and have a little bit of a social media following to be considered. If youre just starting a blog and dont feel you have enough traffic yet for a company to send you free sex toys for review, write reviews on items you already own. You can also publish reviews driectly on some retailers websites, like xinghaoya.com  . This will give you a little practice, get some of your writing online, and possibly help you gather some like-minded social media followers.

Once you have the green light for a review make sure you both agree on the parametersyoull both need to be clear on how long it will take you to publish your review (usually within 1 month is acceptable), if you can use your own affiliate links in your review, if the sponsoring company wants you to include specific links of theirs, etc.

Its also important to remember, reviewing sex toys takes a good deal of time. Between the actual toy testing (I test multiple times over a period of days or weeks), contacting companies, taking photos, writing my review, recording my video review, promotion/social media, and follow up I average 8-10 hours MINIMUM on each review. If its complex, requires more research, or theres a problem, it may take twice as long. Make sure you have the time to devote to doing a thorough job and that you arent promising a finished review sooner than you can deliver.

This article is simply a quick sex toy review primer and resource list. If youre just getting started sex blogging there are lots of other things to considershould you use a pseudonym, whats the best platform to host a sex blog on, how much personal information should you divulge in your reviews, how do you deal with companies that are hard to work with or asking you to do something unethical, what are sex toy review best practices, etc, etc, etc. If you havent considered these things, you have a bit of studying up to do!

For more in that area  Ephipora and JoEllen Notte have some great articles on the nitty-gritty of sex blogging so give them a visit and absorb all you can. Ephipora and JoEllen  Ephipora and JoEllen Notte (The Redhead Bedhead) also offer an online sex blogging class (that I contributed a little bit to!) that is very helpful.

Confessionthis blog post didnt start out as a blog post at all! It was intended to be included with my list of affiliates and webmaster resources for sex bloggers. However, when I started writing I realized sex toy reviewing needed a bit more explanation and needed to be its own post. Besides, this way is better for SEO (youll learn about that later ;) )

We-Vibe Melt

What They're Saying: "This handheld god changed my DAILY life! I was breaking every single toy I bought within a week or two. Mostly because I was using it once a day sometimes twice and running it dead each time. Finally sprung for this bad boy and its been 4 months not even one issue! In 4 months Ive not used it for maybe 3 days. It takes HOURS to die and it only takes like 30 min to completely recharge! Im obsessed! You can control it on the app and see what % your battery is at too! Oh and the Lube they sent with it was fantastic! Just now ran out." - Gabrielle, Amazon review

Bullet vibrator

Ah, the small but mighty bullet. This vibrator is beloved for its discretion (it can fit in the palm of your hand) and its straightforward, versatile nature. For those reasons alone, its an excellent toy for beginners. We love a bullet for some gentle rectal (note: do not insert) play, and especially as a clitoral toy; try applying it to the clitoral hood (a good move if your clit is extra sensitive) or the clitoris itself (keep in mind: the clitoris extends all the way to the vaginal opening).

Amazing vibrator

"This little bullet is packed with much punch. Comes with 7 types of patterns and 3 speeds- so plenty of room to explore what works for you, After going through battery powdered bullets- decided to save money and opt for quality- so this bullet is rechargeable! I also like the rose gold like color and dainty Lovehoney logo which lights up when charging and in use. As far as bullets go-personally, think this option is the better one out there- it was also affordable- which is always a plus!" - IB, Lovehoney review

Clitoral stimulation is often a more effective path to orgasm.

Clitoral Stimulators

For most people with female sexual organs, clitoral stimulation rather than vaginal penetration is like going straight for the orgasmic bulls eye. The clitoris and penis are the external genital organs most densely packed with nerve endings, explains Emily Nagoski, PhD. in Come as You Are: The Surprising New Science that Will Transform Your Sex Life, clitoral stimulation is often a more effective path to orgasm. So think of a clitoral stimulator as the metaphorical arrow to that bulls eye; a vibrator that will usually have one or more sucking, flicking, or rubbing function (of different intensities, depending on your sensitivity) that is applied directly to the clitoris to get you to climax.

What They're Saying: "I was a bit skeptical as I have owned many different toys in the past and always found them a bit of a disappointment. But let me tell you: This is a game-changer. Imagine 100 perfectly formed angels going down on you, whilst soothing your soul and whispering in your ear the answer to all your problems.

I'm 99% sure I passed over into the afterlife for a brief moment in time. I will never leave the comfort of my house again to seek the solace of a lover, or even to buy batteries (not that I could walk for a good 30 minutes anyway) as it's rechargeable." Amazon reviewer

Xinghaoya rabbit vibrator

What They're Saying: "I never thought anything could get better than the rabbit vibrator that I have, but I decided to see what the Aer was like and holy toledo I'm blown away! I never write reviews for anything and I couldn't wait to write one for this powerful little thing. She's so cute, I love the color, she's so soft, she's the perfect size for my hand and so powerful. She has really brought my solo play to a whole new level and I can't wait to try her out with a partner. All of the different settings let you choose the mood for any occasion and they're great to mess around with. The suction function is so nice and you can place it wherever you would like. Highly recommend! I'll be recommending her to all of my friends." - Autumn M., Dame review

9 People Describe Their First Orgasm — oh god (1)

An orgasm can be quite a shock to the system, particularly if you didn't know your body was capable of having one. At first, orgasms can be surprising, accidental, or even scary (or a combination of those feelings). In most cases, though, orgasms are fun and leave people wanting more.

Plus, everyone has orgasms at a different point in life. Some people had an unforgettable run-in with a hot tub jet as a kid, while others had a teenage curiosity that involved stumbling upon internet porn. Many learn to orgasm through masturbation, and some go their whole sex life without orgasming at all.

Given that there's such a smattering of orgasm experiences (and the fact that there's no "right" way to figure it out), we found some real first orgasm stories from people in the R29 community and some honest Redditors. Together, these anecdotes make for quite the coming of age story, if you know what we mean.

My first boyfriend was diddling my skittle and I was loving it.

"I was 20. My first boyfriend was diddling my skittle and I was loving it and then all of a sudden it hit. It was quite powerful. I remember being quite loud and he started to pull away, concerned, but I got a death grip on his hand and growled "DON'T YOU STOP, DAMMIT!" He told me he thought I was possessed." mweebles via Reddit.

“My whole body was feeling all kind of tingles.”

"I remember freshman year of high school I finally decided to keep going all the way when I masturbated and it was the best feeling in the world. My whole body was feeling all kind of tingles, and the next day people were telling me I had some kind glow. Little did they know." - jxka007 via Reddit

3 OF 9

“It feels so WARM.”

"It wasn't the first time I'd let a guy go down on me, but it was the first time I didn't freak out about it. I remember it going something like this in my head: Oh, geez. Um, is he going down? Yep, he's definitely down there. Breathe, girl. Okay, that's not so bad. Maybe another minute. Wow, it's getting better. It feels so WARM. Oh lord, that feels so good... OH, HOLY FUCKING SHIT!" - teenMom86 via Reddit

4 OF 9

“I was convinced that I had to go pee.”

"Several times in the first few weeks when my first girlfriend and I were having sex, I felt a kind of tingling in my nether regions and was convinced that I had to go pee. I would stop her mid sexy-times and rush off to the bathroom. Finally, she stopped me one day and said that I probably didn't actually have to go to the bathroom but was actually close to having an orgasm. She was right."

5 OF 9

“seriously scared the hell out of me.”

"The crazy thing is that I thought I had been having orgasms for years. Sex always felt good. A friend told me it was weird I never 'flew solo.' One day, my boyfriend was out of town and out of boredom I gave it a shot (well a rub). It seriously scared the hell out of me. I remember suddenly sitting up completely freaked out. After that I became very specific in the bedroom and a firm believer that you need to figure yourself out before you can expect someone else to." - ps-iloveyou via Reddit

6 OF 9

“stronger wave of pleasure.”

"I tried to squeeze my vagina closed while my boyfriend fucked me. After a short time, I realized I was getting this ever stronger wave of pleasure which eventually hit a peak. I was 20 years old." - Anonymous via Reddit

7 OF 9

“cleaning my lower regions in the shower.”

"Was cleaning my lower regions in the shower, got this nice tickling going on. Continued it. Continued to orgasm standing in the shower for the next months." - Anonymous via Reddit

8 OF 9

“I remember the jets feeling good on my genitals.”

"I was eight years old (ish) in a jacuzzi bathtub. I remember the jets feeling good on my genitals, so I would keep it pressed against the side of the tub. The image in my mind was of a thermometer filling up, and when it hit the top I got a good feeling, which I now realize was an orgasm. I took lots of baths back then."

9 OF 9

“I got a vibrator and went to work.”

"I always felt dirty when I touched myself, and so one day I said screw it, and started to diddle myself. I tried and felt something, I just thought, 'This is what it feels like, damn this sucks.' Couple months later, I got a vibrator and went to work. Then my opinion changed on orgasms." - Bkbee via Reddit

sitting on a bouncy exercise ball.

"I was 12 and my brother showed me some porn website; I think he was explaining to me what porn was. I later checked it out while alone out of curiosity. Was sitting on a bouncy exercise ball while watching a video, kind of rolling back and forwards, decided to touch my clit like in the video, came instantly. Nearly fell off exercise ball." Anonymous via Reddit

2 OF 9

“stumbled upon just the right motion to rub my clit.”

"I spent the whole summer when I was 14 discovering porn and experimenting with masturbation. I put just about everything I could find inside me, and nothing got me anywhere. Finally, I stumbled upon just the right motion to rub my clit, and it happened. As soon as the orgasm ended, I tried to go again. I discovered orgasms and refractory periods in the same 10-minute window." - cheddarfever via Reddit

3 OF 9

“got this tingly feel in my pants”

"I feel like I was older than most people probably were when they first had an orgasm. My stepbrother had shown me a video of some chick with really big bouncy tits. Anyway, I got this tingly feel in my pants and decided to go to bed. Needless to say, my fingers wandered and well, it was the best feeling I'd ever had. Of course masturbating now feels nowhere near as good." - mookiexmac via Reddit

4 OF 9

My body is freaking out.

"I was 17 and I think it was my third boyfriend. We got stoned and went over to his house after school. We started making out and one thing lead to another this was our first time fooling around with each other. He asked if he could go down on me. I said sure, not thinking of anything from previous experience. Not even two minutes in, and I'm moaning and I'm losing it, and my body is freaking out and all the sudden bam! I was heavy breathing and trying to pull myself together." - Klanni via Reddit

5 OF 9

“I started thinking about tampons.”

"I was 14. I'd been masturbating for a couple years already, and while it felt good, I'd never actually had an orgasm. I'd heard that some women couldn't orgasm without the help of a Amazon vibrator, and I'd resigned myself to the fact that I'd have to wait until I was 'old enough' to buy one to have my first orgasm. Then one day I was sitting in bed and I started thinking about tampons. I'd never used one and was wondering how it would feel, so I decided to try to put a finger in myself to find out. Kind of felt a little strange, but I could barely notice it. Slid another finger inside — one thing led to another and I discovered I didn't need to wait for a vibrator after all." - bettypink via Reddit

6 OF 9

“I was feeling so damn good while reading.”

"When I was around 11 years old, I remember searching up 'Ash and Misty' on Google. Reason being was because I liked the pair, and wanted some cute stories to read or pictures to see. Looked through like 20 pages worth; I stumbled upon an interesting website. Found myself something called 'lemon' which is hentai in story form. Read through a couple with so many different pairs, specifically Ash and Misty. Started to get the 'tingly feeling between my legs' and pretty much what I was reading, I tried on myself. Like 'rubbing the clit.' I had NO idea about most of the stuff, but I was feeling so damn good while reading. Was so horny and wet that I started feeling a wave of pleasure. Whoa. Afterwards, whenever I came home from school, I kept reading more to feel the same thing." - TheViolativeOne via Reddit

7 OF 9

“Got curious about my boyfriend's back massager.”

"Got curious about my boyfriend's back massager (Hitachi), decided to give it a try. Bam. It just happened! I was under the covers and I poked my head out literally asking, 'What the fuck!?' Now I use it every single chance I get. Literally used it like three times this morning before leaving the house." - Anonymous via Reddit

8 OF 9

“all the muscles in my pelvic floor started pulsating rhythmically.”

"I was in my 20s before I actually had a full-on orgasm. Had purchased my first sex toys a few months prior and was thoroughly enjoying getting to know my body. Kind of sad that it took me that long, since I started having sex at 14. I enjoyed sex and had peaks and plateaus but never realized I wasn't actually cumming until I accidentally had a real O.

"Anyway, one day I managed to figure out that a vibe in the vagina, a smaller one in the butt, and a bullet on my clit produced a MAJOR sensation, that just kept building until all the muscles in my pelvic floor started pulsating rhythmically and I felt tingly all over. As soon as it subsided I realized I'd been missing out for a long time.

"It was/is the best type I have even though I've now figured out how to have a few different kinds of Os. Clitoral, squirting, G-spot, etc." - Thr0wnAwaay via Reddit

“I had just contextually put it together.”

"I remember one of the first times I realized what was happening: I was just laying in bed on my stomach and started to get hard. I knew what was happening, but it was still new. I began to just rub my body against my bed a bunch and then I came. It was great and probably only took me a few seconds. I was aware that I was orgasming; I assume I had just contextually put it together."
